From now on everybody can unlock their own smartcard.

Previously if any of us locked our smartcard (by entering an incorrect PIN/passcode three consecutive times) we would have to locate and travel to a Local Smartcard Administrator and ask them to unlock it for us. Not anymore - now we can all unlock them ourselves 24/7 and as often as required.  In order to do so you must first register to use the self-service unlock feature - click here for instructions.

Whitworth, Langwith, Bolsover…estates news

Good news from Whitworth Hospital where work on extending the car parking facilities is progressing well. The car park extension at the rear of the hospital is completed, except for landscaping, and the new spaces are in use. Work on creating a few additional spaces at the front of the hospital is now underway. The £141,000 project is being carried out by Chesterfield-based firm Johnson Surfacing and is being fully funded by Matlock Hospitals League of Friends. When it is all completed later this summer we will have an extra 23 spaces to help ease parking on site. Thanks to everyone who has borne with us during the disruption of the building work. You can read more about the project here: http://www.dchs.nhs.uk/home/news/news-archive/work-starts-on-new-car-park-extension-at-whitworth-hospital-monday-29-april
