Finding your way around Walton

Thanks to everyone for your patience while the necessary work takes place at Walton Hospital. Here’s a reminder of the temporary access routes which are necessary for site safety during the ongoing demolition work:

  • There is currently no internal access from the Peter McCarthy Suite/main reception to the dining room
  •  Access to the committee room, now the base for the training team, is currently via the wheelchair-access route close to the old workshop area.  You will need to ring or email reception for the code to the external door. Until contractors have finished this is the only way into the old committee room
  • Access to pharmacy and the dining room is via the old workshop area
  • Look out for temporary signage, located throughout the site for access to the dining room, pharmacy, reception and training team (in the former committee room).

Handouts of access routes around the site are available at Walton’s main reception in the Peter McCarthy Suite and staff on main reception will be happy to help you with directions if you have difficulties finding your way around.

This is a link to the videos we produced about access around the site in November when the work first started:

Thank you for bearing with us. We are making good progress with the transformation of the site and appreciate your support while we try to keep disruption to a minimum
