Congratulations to Doreen Bunting and team
Doreen and team were finalists in the digital practice category of the annual Chief Allied Health Professions Officer’s Awards, which took place in London on Wednesday 17 July. They were recognised for their pioneering work to improve the diabetic foot service in Derbyshire using an innovative digital solution – called the Silhouette camera – which saves patients numerous trips to hospital and has helped patients to feel more involved in their own care.
Sadly the team didn’t return with the top prize, but they’re winners to us and represent the very best of DCHS. Doreen commented: "To be a finalist for this national award is a wonderful achievement reflecting the whole team’s commitment to high quality integrated care. 85% of all patients reported that their confidence had increased since the introduction of Silhouette camera and 80% felt better informed about their care
