Dying to Work Charter roadshow
The TUC’s Dying To Work Charter roadshow called into Babington Hospital last Friday (13 September) to help publicise DCHS as one of the very first signatories to the charter which strives for additional employment protection for terminally ill employees.
The charter has now been agreed nationally and aims for a terminal illness diagnosis while employed to be added to the list of protected characteristics in overcoming discrimination.
We were delighted to be part of this roadshow, along with other NHS organisations in Derbyshire and Derby which have signed up to the charter. DCHS staff side’s Lynn Booth, who was instrumental in our early support of the charter, is pictured with Cath Benfield, representing DCHS’ executive team, and DCHS staff members beside the roadshow.
