Derby Sepsis Support Group
The next meeting of the Derby Sepsis Support Group is Wednesday 12 February from 7.00pm to 8.30pm at Nottingham Road Fire Station, Nottingham Road, Chaddesden, Derby DE21 6FP. Download the flyer here.
The group is totally voluntarily run and relies on good will of venues too. It currently rotates between Nottingham (Beeston one month) and Derby (the next). Details of the next meetings are available here. They would like to establish a similar group in the north of Derbyshire around the Chesterfield/Sutton in Ashfield area and would welcome any offers of support to start this.
The UK Sepsis Trust can directly offer free support and access to many patient and healthcare professional focussed resources to anyone who has been affected by sepsis. They can be contacted on 0808 800 0029 during usual office hours. Many can also be accessed via their website.
Alternatively we would always encourage patients, loved ones and staff colleagues to seek the clinical support and appropriate signposting to appropriate help and services directly from their own GP practice. All GP practices should have an identified “sepsis lead” within their practice who acts as a resource around sepsis too.
