February is Freedom to Speak up and Raising Concerns month
We are going to be promoting our new Freedom Speak up Guardian – Jackie Rawlings throughout the month of February where Jackie will be visiting a number of our sites. These visits will give you the opportunity to meet Jackie and find out more about the ways in which you can raise concerns. You can talk to her about concerns during the visits or agree a separate time to meet.
We want staff to feel confident to raise concerns however small so that support can be provided and improvements made. The Freedom to Speak up Guardian is not the only way you can raise a concern, you can speak to your line manager, a mentor or supervisor or colleague, use our Datix system if your concern relates to, or results in, an incident or near miss. And of course you can approach any of DCHS executive team at any time.
