This awareness/refresher session covers:
- Identifying the risks factors for Domestic abuse
- Recognising the signs of domestic abuse.
- The impact of Covid on DA
- Enquiring about and responding to domestic abuse disclosure (including during telephone consultations)
- Risk assessment (case study and DASH provide prior to the training)
- Local DA services and referral pathway to specialist support services.
Domestic abuse: Recognising and supporting Hidden Victims

- 28.01.21 – 9.30-11.30am
- 02.02.21 – 9.30 -11.30am
- 24.02.21 -12-2pm
This session provides information about:
- LGBT+ Communities
- Older Victims
- Recognising signs of abuse in these groups
- Enquiring about Domestic Abuse
- Risk assessment (case study and DASH provide prior to the training)
- Local DA services and referral pathway to specialist support services.
Staff also receive a range of useful material regarding supporting DA enquiring and the referral pathway for Specialist DA support
The sessions are delivered virtually through Microsoft teams and staff need to email to book a place on the session. There are 15 places available on each session and places will be booked on a first come first served basis
