February is LGBT History Month
It celebrates LGBT+ people in all their diversity, raises awareness and combats prejudice with education. This year the focus is on “Body, Mind & Spirit”
To celebrate this we want to provide you with a range of resources that you may like to engage with, share with colleagues or use over the month. We realise that many of us are very busy at this time, but wanted to share with you a selection of events you may like to tune into if you have the opportunity. We also offer an email signature and Teams background.
Please note this list is provided as a sample of events across the UK, however we have had no involvement in the arrangement of these events and inclusion in this list does not imply any endorsement of speakers, ideas or concepts that are discussed as part of these sessions.
Two NHS Online Events - Recommended
- Another opportunity to watch the fantastic “Any Other Business” - Tuesday 23 February 2021, 3.00pm – 4.30pm. The event and film will be live streamed with captions and BSL interpretation.
- Health & Care LGBTQ+ Leaders Network & Mental Health Network – Supporting the mental health of young people who identify as LGBTQ+. 12.00pm – 1.30pm, Thursday 25 February.
