SystmOne downtime - 17 July
TPP has scheduled its routine annual BCDR (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery) test for Saturday 17 July 2021 at 1pm. This forms one of TPP’s obligations under your contract. NHS Digital has approved 4 hours of permitted downtime for this test, however we expect downtime to be well under 1 hour.
What will SystmOne users notice?
The impact on SystmOne users should be minimal. At 1pm on Saturday 17 July 2021, SystmOne will appear to ‘freeze’. Anyone logged on to SystmOne at that time will not be able to use the system, but it will reconnect when the BCDR test is complete. Users are advised to save any open patient records prior to this time. Reminder messages prompting users to do this will be displayed to anyone logged on to SystmOne before the test.
What do I need to do?
You don’t need to take any specific action; this is just to inform you that the test will be happening and that the system will be unavailable for the duration of the test.
