A fond farewell to Sharon
We say a very fond farewell to Sharon Bishop who leaves us after eight years of fantastic PA expertise to members of the DCHS executive team.
Sharon’s been a mainstay of support who will be sorely missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her and especially by William Jones and Jim Austin, the execs Sharon has looked after for the past eight and three years respectively.
Sharon originally joined DCHS as a temp before becoming a substantive member of the team in May 2013, based at Newholme before the Trust headquarters moved to Ash Green a few years ago.
As one colleague put it: “She is a joy to work with and such a lovely lady too. She is one of those people who works quietly in the background, and does a brilliant job without any fanfare.”
We hope you will forgive us Sharon, for putting you in the limelight for once, but everyone wants to let you know how fabulous you have been as a colleague and to wish you well as you head off into a well-deserved retirement.
Sharon is pictured here at her leaving presentation on Thursday 8 July with executive director William Jones and other close colleagues from corporate services.

Happy retirement Sharon! You will be missed!
