Staff Governor Elections are now open
We are asking all leaders to encourage their staff who fall into these constituencies to nominate themselves to become a staff Governor by Friday 20 August 2021. Staff will need register and complete a short nomination form at https://hub.ukevote.uk/dchs.

In this year’s staff Governor elections, we have vacancies in the Nursing constituency and the Healthcare support, facilities and estates staff constituency. Our staff Governors play a crucial role in bringing the professional voice and experience into the wider arena of governance. They provide advice and support to the board, providing the support and challenge of a ‘critical friend’. As a staff Governor there will be the opportunity to:

•           Represent the staff constituency

•           Talk, listen to and represent our members and feedback to them

•           Shape the way we engage with our members

•           Meet with the Council of Governors at least six times a year

•           Talk to executive and non-executive directors

•           Join other activities and events

If you have any questions about the Governor role or any additional requirements, then please do contact carolynpotter@nhs.net or 07870 503 648.
