Help with continuing to shape our work on disability & race equality and inclusion
It is that time of the year again and we would welcome your involvement in upcoming engagement sessions to go through the Trust’s latest data for the NHS Workforce Disability Standard/ (WDES) and NHS Workforce Race Equality Standard/ (WRES) respectively, as well as to develop some targeted actions that would secure improvements and close the gaps highlighted by the data.
WDES data compares workplace and career experiences of colleagues with and without a disability and/or long-term conditions, and WRES data highlights any differences between the experiences and treatment of white and BME colleagues, with a view to closing the gaps highlighted through developing and implementing actions focused on continuous improvements over time. So, we would really value colleagues’ views on the data and input on developing some impact-focused actions aimed at improving employment opportunities as well as workplace experience for all colleagues, particularly those with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

Alternatively, mirrored or repeat sessions would be considered/scheduled as demand dictates. Please note that colleagues are not required to attend all the sessions and can simply drop in to any or all of the sessions for however long they are able to.
