We have recently signed up to show our allyship with the national Trans NHS Staff Network, in an open letter pledge initiated by Milton Keynes University Hospital Trust. Our chief exec Tracy Allen, director of people services Darren Tidmarsh and chair of the LGBT+ staff network Lucy Bastock have all put their names to it, pledging to be active in allyship with trans staff and service users.
Leaders across DCHS can add their names to the pledge which is in the form of an open letter to be published online. The link is here. We are also working with Stonewall to build upon our Stonewall index as a recognised and valued marker of how inclusive our workplace is and how we can bring about continuous improvements in making sure everyone feels equally valued as themselves at work.
