Covid Pass phishing scam

Following on from a few incidents, where suspicious text SMS messages have been received, staff are reminded to be extra vigilant.

***

Staff have received a few text SMS messages on work phones stating that ‘You are eligible to apply for a Covid Pass providing you have been vaccinated against Covid 19. Please click on the link to apply.

This then takes you onto another screen and asks you for your bank details as there is a cost for a Covid pass.

This is a phishing Text SMS scam and please do not respond to this text SMS message.

Actions:

  1. Do not respond any text messages SMS scams that you do not recognise or click any link within the SMS.

  3. Delete the text message from your phone.
