Armistice Day - 11 November

At the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we will remember them.

As a reminder, Armistice Day will be remembered on Thursday 11 November. Armistice Day commemorates the end of the First World War and honours those who fought in the First and Second World War through to those who have served within more recent conflicts. Today, DCHS continues to mark this date to remember the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces personnel, and to show support for those who continue to make sacrifices for our country.

Please show your support with a two-minute silence commencing at 11am on Thursday 11 November and encourage friends and colleagues to do the same.

The DCHS Armed Forces Network is open to all members of the trust and we very much welcome new joiners. We’re particularly keen to recruit more AF families and serving reservists, so that you can help us to see how DCHS may better support you and our community. If you’d like to know more, please contact Jordana Wright (jordana.wright@nhs.net) or Christine Duffy (christine.duffy@nhs.net).
