Reflective practice: help from our library service

Improving services and patient care using reflection: how the library can help you

Developing a reflective approach is a good way to ensure you're always improving your practice, whatever your role. Because it's such a vital skill, many health professionals have to demonstrate reflection as part of their revalidation.

Are you struggling with reflection?  Is your revalidation due soon and you don’t know where to begin?

The Library and Knowledge Service can help you!

We run a regular programme of Reflective Writing sessions which introduce you to reflection and reflective writing. We show you two reflective cycles, and include practical group exercises based on everyday and work scenarios to help you develop your skills.  See the Training page on the website for more details, including how to book: https://www.dchslibrary.co.uk/training

We also have a wide range of books on reflection and revalidation in our Libraries. These can be posted out to your workplace - just tell us what you want to borrow! Search our catalogues here: https://www.dchslibrary.co.uk/search-the-catalogue
