Sharon Tait Retiring!
Sharon Tait - High Peak Rehab Specialist Nurse within the High Peak Integrated Community Services is to retire on Friday 26th November 2021.
This follows 35 years National Health Service and 28 years dedicated to Derbyshire Community Health Services, previously Derbyshire County and High Peak and Dales National Health Service Trusts.
Sharon initially commenced her career as a Registered Adult Staff Nurse in 1989 spending a short time at the Devonshire Hospital, Buxton on the head injury unit. Then a change in career path as Sharon decided to train as a Midwife and moved to London.
It was quickly decided Midwifery wasn’t for Sharon, and she returned to the High Peak securing a Community Staff Nurse post with Chapel-en-le-Frith Community Nursing Team at Thornbrook, from this Sharon completed specialist training and became the District Nurse for the same team at Chapel-en-le-Frith.
Sharon then transferred to the Rehabilitation Team at the Cavendish Hospital, Buxton after having her 2nd child 18 years ago, assisting and developing the HUB/ Local Triage Point and Integrated Community Services in the High Peak, and we are very grateful for the fantastic work and dedication to the service over the years, what an asset Sharon has been.
We all wish her the very best and Sharon will be sadly missed.
