All Walton Hospital colleagues - please read

To all Walton Hospital based staff and staff due to attend Walton Hospital

The vaccination centre in the Peter McCarthy Suite is extremely busy and we have more cars coming on site than usual with people arriving to get their booster jabs. We’re expecting these high traffic volumes will continue for the next couple of weeks as we all work to jab the maximum number of people to meet the Government’s target of offering everyone over 18 a booster by 31 December. To help with traffic and pedestrian safety on site and to help ease congestion I’m asking that colleagues who don’t need to be on site to please work from home if possible or consider any alternatives to parking on site. It means only essential clinical and clinical support staff should be on site. We are in contact now with some of our neighbours with large car parks to see if temporary parking can be offered nearby and we’ll let you know if we receive permission for colleagues to use other convenient parking facilities. I am grateful to everyone who is working flat-out on maintaining services and rising to this additional challenge of the pandemic response. Thank you for all your on-going support at this busy time.
