Walking the Great Wall of China
Jayne Gibson, Healthcare Assistant on Melbourne Ward at Walton Hospital, is undertaking The Great Wall of China 100km trek for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Jayne said: "My Grandma suffered from Alzheimers and my Grandad also had a form of dementia. I have worked for over 18 years on an Older Peoples Mental Health Unit, so on a personal and professional level I see what a devastating effect this disease has on the person diagnosed and their family and friends.
The trek will be both physically and mentally demanding and people who know me will know I have got to put a lot of hard work in to achieve this challenge!"
Jayne will be covering a huge 100km over six days. She has pledged to raise at least £3350 and so far has raised £3559.
Please support her challenge, all donations are greatly appreciated no matter how small and go directly to Alzheimer’s Society. Visit her just giving page at - http://www.justgiving/Jayne-gibson1
