CQC results publicity

We are delighted to have been rated by the CQC as good overall – the best outcome of any community NHS provider in the East Midlands. The CQC also rated our frontline teams as “outstanding” overall in the ‘caring’ category, a fantastic achievement for colleagues whose compassion and kindness shone through everywhere the inspectors visited.

The “good” and “outstanding” ratings in the report come after a detailed inspection to assess the quality of services provided by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust as part of the CQC’s ongoing routine inspection programme.

The report also highlighted areas where we can and will improve in some services; we’ve already started work on adopting the CQC’s helpful recommendations.

To support the display of our ratings, the CQC ratings posters have gone up within all our main sites and we have also produced CQC ratings ‘table talkers’. The table talkers will allow community staff to showcase our CQC rating where we deliver services within a site that is not one of our own. The table talkers will be disseminated to you through your managers so please look out for them.

Please could we remind staff to keep their own copy of the table talkers to put on display when delivering services in the community and not to leave the table talkers in any sites that are not our own, i.e GP practices, as the rating refers to DCHS only.
