Associate nurse training programme
If you want to progress your career, why not consider applying for a place on the new Associate Nurse training programme?
This is a national pilot to support new roles in the NHS and provide routes to become a registered nurse. Nursing associates will work alongside health and social care support workers and registered nurses to deliver direct patient care.
This is a two year programme where you will attend Derby University once a week and have the opportunity to gain experience (placement) in other clinical areas i.e. a service within DCHS and acute hospitals. You will be allocated a mentor, who will support you throughout the programme.
Successful candidates will gain a Level 5 academic qualification..
Closing date for expressions of interest is 17 November at 12pm.
GCSEs Grade A-C in Maths and English or skills level 2 in Maths and English
Skills and Qualities
- Ability to deal with non-routine and unpredictable nature of the workload and individual patient contact
- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Ability to communicate with members of the public and health and care providers
Internal interviews will be held on 23 November.
University interviews will be held on 7 and 8 December.
