Agile working - connectivity update Feb 2017

We’ve listened to your comments about Connectivity.
We’ve made some changes ….

We set up drop-in FixIT sessions around the county.  These are your opportunity to speak face-to-face with a friendly expert and get your problem fixed.  We have RA card, e-learning, systems, IT, smartphone and agile experts on hand to help you through any issues you are having.

We’ve had 3 sessions so far and seen over 100 staff.  We’ve got another 10 sessions arranged during February and March so check out the one nearest to you and pop along.

We’ve also been working with our colleagues in GEM, who support the FixIT sessions, to look at some of the wider issues and response times.  GEM have committed to problem solving your issues rather than applying a ‘quick fix’ to get you going again.

So if you have recurring issues, make sure GEM understand your frustration.

Throughout December we issued a tip a day – these were really well received and people found the jargon buster and other tips really helped.  When you have time, check out the tips here and see how many you can incorporate in your work day to day.

We’ve worked with Health and Safety to create leaflets to give you practical solutions to using your equipment safely.

We’ve written a number of help guides, which we’re refreshing and putting as a central resource on our web page. Based on your feedback we’re also making some of our user guides available as short videos – they help us to demonstrate how to work, and can be viewed on your smartphone whilst you navigate through the instructions on your computer.

We’re working with our colleagues in Derbyshire County Council and other neighbours to make best use of our estate – ensuring our staff are welcome to work and can get access on their sites and vice versa – more details about this to follow.

We’re taking part in workshops to understand how you use systems when you are out and about and find out what stops you working the way you’d like to.
