New ESR Property Register process is now LIVE
All staff have a responsibility to look after trust property. This new process has been devised to help us to do this effectively. Please see below to find out more.
In a nutshell ….
1. All mobile devices must be registered on ESR Property Register under the employee name/number.
2. Once equipment is issued to a member of staff it stays with the member of staff as long as it is required in the job role, including if the staff member transfers role within DCHS
3. Laptops/Toughbooks that are not in regular use (eg for two months or more) should be returned to GEM to ensure they meet IT security requirements.
All staff will:
a) be responsible for the safe care and appropriate use of the mobile devices; reporting lost/stolen/damaged or no longer required devices to managers
b) ensure that their work mobile phone number is recorded accurately on ESR so that managers can support lone working
c) ensure laptops/Toughbooks are connected to the network (ie plugged in to the network via a cable) at least once a month to ensure all security software is up to date
d) be aware that once equiment has been issued to a member of staff it will stay with you as long as it is required in your job role, and will transfer with you if you change job within DCHS so long as it is required in your new role.
People managers will:
a) be responsible for verifying annually that the property is still in use by individual staff as part of the appraisal conversation
b) be responsible for adding new mobile devices and updating any change via ESR Property Register at the time of issue/change. This function is only available to managers via MSS
c) advise staff that they are responsible for ensuring work mobile telephone number is recorded accurately on ESR so that managers can support lone working
d) be aware that once equiment has been issued to a member of staff it will stay with them as long as it is required in their job role, and will transfer with them if they change job within DCHS so long as it is required in their new role.
