Cybersecurity And Keeping Encrypted.
All laptops/toughbooks etc. should be connected to the Trust’s network at least once a month to ensure they receive the latest anti-virus and encryption updates (it’s also a policy requirement). This helps to ensure your device and subsequently the entire DCHS network is kept secure and free from malicious software, including viruses.
By attaching your device to the network at least once a month, it also allows for automated software installation (i.e updates to TPP or Windows), instead of your device storing a large number of updates and installing them when you attach to the network. In addition to the security considerations, regular networking should therefore have less impact on your work, and should help to reduce the frustrations of a ‘slow’ device. Thank you, The IG Team.
