I wish my manager knew...... I care for someone
For many of us we aren’t just caring for patients or colleagues at work but are also caring for family, friends or close ones at home too. We know the impact this can have on our own health and this was shown in the Health Needs Assessment when 47% of DCHS respondents said that caring responsibilities negatively affected their wellbeing. We want to make sure that we are supporting those of you that are carers, and are helping prevent that negative effect, so have compiled some simple tips and signposting, on the attached guide, to make sure you know what is available to you.
More information can be found on this area by visiting the ‘I wish my manager knew’ webpages on My DCHS. Also keep an eye out for drop in sessions and activities throughout the week as part of National Carers Week.
