DCHS mental health: keeping the conversation going
A huge thank you to all of you who donned your jazziest odd socks and used our conversation starters to get talking about mental health on DCHS Mental Health Awareness day last Thursday.
We had a great response with loads of conversations started and plenty of positive feedback on how having these felt. Now we need to keep the conversations going so we want to encourage you to keep talking. You can download the conversation starters here to keep using these and there’s lots of other options too. You could schedule 10minutes of ‘time to talk’ at the beginning of team meetings, have a 15minute lunchtime walk with colleagues or simply include mental health as part of regular 1-1’s.
It doesn’t matter how you do it. All that matters is that conversations can change lives. Remember that mental health isn’t just about diagnosable conditions. We all have mental health, all of the time, and it’s really important we help ourselves and help each other take care of it.
