Psst ...... Outstanding Way is making a real difference ....... pass it on!
The community staff at Chapel Health Centre have been testing the first suite of Outstanding Way changes for the past eight weeks. We asked them how they feel about the changes and wanted to share with you what they are saying.

The Swadlincote community team are also piloting the same suite of changes and we will be asking them their views - watch out for an update here very soon!
Following the positive feedback from the pilot teams all of the community teams in North Derbyshire are going to use the S1 new patient plan of care for initial patient assessments, and the teams in Derby City will shortly be joining them.
We have produced some short video guides to help staff use the new patient plan of care and have filmed Michelle O'Connor (senior matron) talking about clinical reasoning. Click here to view the videos.
The Outstanding Way
‘Outstanding’ is how we want everyone at DCHS to feel about the work we do and the care our patients and service users experience. This is a firm commitment from the organisation to clinical staff; a promise to listen and respond to frustrations, look at ways to overcome barriers, deal with challenges and enable staff to do what they are trained and want to do – namely, spending time with and caring for our patients.
Please contact Melissa Deighton – E: Melissa.firstname.lastname@example.org - for further information about the Outstanding Way initiative.
