Freebay is a pilot project designed to reuse unwanted equipment and furniture at DCHS.
It's really easy to do, all we ask is that you notify the procurement team of any DCHS surplus stock, which will then be added to a database. If you need new items, try checking the database before submitting any requests.
It is hoped that this will generate savings equivalent to the purchase cost of new, if you take up the offer of second-hand goods instead. This initiative already has Director of Finance sponsorship and we hope that all DCHS services will embrace the idea.
The IFM's transport team based at Bolsover will be moving items from the "seller" to the "buyer", wherever possible to tie in with existing transport runs.
