Aspiring to Be (A2B) New Leaders Programme

We are delighted to announce that we have recently secured some funding from East Midlands Leadership Academy to support a pilot of an Aspiring to Be (A2B) New Leaders Programme.
The application process is now open to all staff who currently do not lead people but aspire to do so.
All applications will be considered by the Talent Panel and suitable candidates will be put through to the next stage of assessment. This will include a 360 review coupled with attendance at a one day assessment centre, which will take place Feb/March 2018. The outcomes are communicated back to the applicant and their line manager late March 2018. Successful applicants will start the development programme April 2018.
The programme will last for 12 months and will equip aspirant leaders with the knowledge they need to be a first line leader. It will include workshops, coaching sessions and work-shadowing over a total of approximately 15 days throughout the year.
Unsuccessful applicants will meet with their line manager and a member of the Talent Panel to receive their feedback and create their Personal Development Plan.
We hope, if this evaluates well, it will be the first of a series of Aspiring to Be programmes that will offer a range of development opportunities for those who aspire to develop and grow in DCHS.
