Rural health team in BBC’s Countryfile Winter Diaries
If you haven’t yet seen it, here’s the link to last week’s episode of BBC Countryfile Winter Diaries, which began with a piece filmed with our very own rural health team, based at Bakewell Agricultural and Business Centre.
With big thanks to Karen Allen, Fiona Horton and Amanda Buswell whose weekly healthcare for members of the farming community inspired the interest of the TV programme-makers. Congratulations too, to Sally Clark, specialist podiatrist, who did a fantastic job in front of the camera of explaining the do’s and don’ts of welly wearing. The feature focused mainly on foot health but acknowledged the valuable service of the rural health team in providing not only podiatry but also physio and health checks for the farming community at the market.
