Butterley Ward at Ripley and St. Oswald's support Dignity Action Day with a “Digni-tea” party for patients
Dignity Action Day is supported by the National Dignity Council and the Dignity in Care campaign. Visit www.dignityincare.org.uk for more details.
The aim to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and are given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
Ward staff were pleased to show their commitment to Dignity Action Day, as well as helping to give an uplift to patients by throwing the special tea party.
Dame Joan Bakewell, the national Dignity in Care ambassador said: “The very old and the very young clearly need our respect, but it wouldn’t do any harm to spread the dignity message across the population; then we can all benefit.”
