Fax cessation ...... please encourage people to stop sending faxes in to the trust!

In 2016 the Department of Health urged all Health and Social Services to stop using fax machines to transmit patient information. We would like to thank everyone at DCHS for their co-operation and successfully finding alternatives and stopping the usage of fax machines.

Whilst we no longer send faxes there are some services who still receive faxes.

Please can those areas who still recieve faxes encourage senders to use alternatives such as, secure emails. Many of the services will have an NHSMail address that they can use.

Staff are also asked to remove fax numbers from:

  • email signatures

  • forms

  • leaflets

  • letter headers

  • 'With compliments' slips

.......... and any other branding that may be used.
