Enteral Feeding: ‘A Patient and Professional Perspective’ Study Day
Monday 30 April 2018, Rivermead Training Centre, Northern General Hospital
The Enteral Feeding Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospital’s invite you to join them for an innovative and interactive study day, bringing the patient journey on enteral feeding to life. The day will follow the patient through from making a decision to commence enteral feeding; the placement of the feeding tube; and on to using the tube and managing common feeding, tube and stoma complications. We will be joined on the day by an actor/actress playing the role of a patient on enteral feeding. They will give a representation of what life is like for a patient on enteral feeding, allowing promotion of patient centred care; a key focus of this study day. You will also get the opportunity to get ‘hands-on’ with the range of feeding tubes used in practice, including being given practical steps to resolve common enteral tube complications.
