DCHSmail decommissioning - next stage
The next stage in the DCHSmail decommissioning process will begin 29 May 2018. From this date staff must not save files in DCHSmail inboxes. Staff will be able to view any files currently stored on the account but will not be able to add anything further. E-mails will not be received through the DCHSmail facility – any e-mails sent to a DCHSmail inbox will rebound and an out of office message will be received by the sender.
Staff whose ‘scan-to-me’ setting is set to their DHCSmail account will have to manually enter their NHSmail address to the printer/scanner in order to send documents to themselves.This can either be done each time the printer/scanner is used or by adding your name to the address book within the printer/scanner.

The email service we use within DCHS changed from DCHSmail to NHSmail in April 2015. We now need to decommission the legacy DCHSmail system. This means we will close all DCHSmail accounts. We're working with Arden &GEM CSU to do this and aim to have this work completed by the end of April 2018.
As part of this work, DCHSmail accounts are being closed and an automatic Out of Office message will be placed on all DCHSmail accounts.
Please do not add/save/archive anything new to your DCHSmail account. Any additions will not be stored or retrievable. Old emails currently in DCHSmail accounts will be archived and the archived file will be made available on request. Staff are reminded that email systems should not be used for storage of information.
