Diabetic Foot Clinic – NEW wound management system
Chesterfield Royal NHS Foundation Trust (CRH) is working in partnership with Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS) introduce the use of an innovative technique that uses digital imaging technology to advance the way diabetes patients are treated.
The team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital are introducing a 3D wound imaging Silhouette® system which allows for improved assessment of diabetic foot ulcers. The system will measure the size of the wound and help monitor ulcer healing progress.
Silhouette® will be live from Wednesday 28th March 2018.
At a later date community clinic in North Derbyshire will also be benefitting from the cameras, which will enable images to be shared with the community to the hospital and vice versa. Further information will be circulated nearer the time.
If you have any further question about the new system please do not hesitate to contact either Dr Shillo Pallai, Diabetes Foot Lead Consultant, CRH email@example.com or Diabetes Specialist Podiatrist Debs Brown, firstname.lastname@example.org
