Clinical staff - new Record Keeping and Person Centred Care Planning Workbooks
New Record Keeping and Person Centred Care Planning Workbooks are being launched next week (1 June 2018) for all new clinical staff.
At present there are two version of the workbooks, one for In-patients and another for Community/Planned Care. These will be discussed with new starters as part of Induction and need to be completed within 3 months of starting. The first section of the workbooks which covers Record Keeping is to be completed by all new clinical staff and the second section which covers Person Centred Care Planning is to be completed by registered clinicians only. The workbooks can also be completed by existing staff as a refresher or where a need has been identified with their manager.
Both workbooks are available on the Workforce Planning web page or here. A link will also be available from the Record Keeping and Person Centred Care Planning Resource Portal.
The workbooks can be completed electronically or printed off and written on. The front page of competed workbooks will need to be signed by the individual and their manager and emailed to the Workforce Planning generic email account - E:firstname.lastname@example.org. This will enable the individual’s ESR records to be updated. Answer booklets for Managers only can also be obtained from Workforce Planning by request to their generic email address as above.
Versions of the workbooks for Children’s Services and Dental Services are also being developed.
