Shaping our future - Operational Plan 2017-2019
Our operational plan was initially agreed in back in December 2016, and given the pace of change in the NHS we decided to refresh it for year two. The refreshed plan captures our ‘Big 9’ priorities across Quality Service, People and Business for the forthcoming year. It’s focused on issues that are important to each and every one of you, as well as reflecting how we shape our own future by responding effectively to local and national challenges.
The plan supports us to deliver our Clinical Strategy and its ‘Triple Aim’, putting a greater emphasis on place-based care and how we will continue to work with our partners to develop services in the confines of the money available. The plan is naturally very much aligned to Derbyshire’s STP, ‘Joined Up Care Derbyshire’. We believe joining up care is essential in today’s NHS – we must work more closely than ever with our partners in order to achieve our collective ‘system’ aims. We believe the community services sector has a huge role to play, so we must continue delivering our own high quality care whilst recognising our many passionate and skilled staff across DCHS.
In order to make the plan more accessible to all, we’ve developed a ‘plan on a page’ again which you can read here. The full plan is also available here. We’ll be discussing the plan and associated commissioning intentions at forthcoming staff engagement events in late Sept – watch this space.
