NEW: Team brief – coming soon!
From September we’re starting a new-look monthly team brief to make sure everyone is kept up to date with the major news across DCHS. As its name suggests, it will be brief, and it should provide team leaders with a consistent and valuable aid to use when communicating with their teams.
Given the unprecedented scale and pace of change in the NHS, we all recognise the importance of maintaining a two-way supportive dialogue. Together, we’ve recently refreshed our operational plan as it moves into its second year and we’ve discussed the huge role we can play in the future of place-based care. These discussions have been invaluable, and the new team brief will ensure we continue to talk openly about the key issues and engage colleagues right across the organisation.
How it will work?
· On the first Monday of every month, leaders will receive a one-side briefing containing the top three or four strategic updates. This will be shared by email at 9am from the communications and engagement team.
· At 12 noon on the same day, leaders will be asked to dial in to a video conference call, where a member of the executive team will take them through the briefing
How will it be shared?
· Leaders are being asked to share the team briefing either face-to-face or via conference call with their teams during the first week of every month. Simply emailing the briefing on to team members will not suffice – we’re striving to make this as useful and engaging as possible.
