Buxton UTC's elf fun to raise funds

Well done to colleagues at Buxton's urgent treatment centre who joined in with national Elf Day 2021 to have some fun and raise money for families affected by dementia through support for the Alzheimer's Society charity. Members of the team pictured in their elf outfits are: Amy Bainbridge (left), Laura O’Brien (back left), Wendy Tideswell (back right), Jo Shadforth (front centre) and Caroline Hancock. The event was organised by Jo and they raised £66.70 for Alzheimer’s Society. Well done!

Diabetes education team win ‘best patient experience’ award

Diabetes education team win ‘best patient experience’ award

For the second year running our fantastic diabetes education team at DCHS has won the X-PERT Health award for providing the best patient experience in 2021. This was based on the results of delivering 105 programmes with an 81% completion rate and a participant satisfaction score of 95% between January 2019 and December 2020.

Ward Decoration Guidance

It’s important that we recognise and celebrate significant festivals of all faiths/beliefs within our hospitals, but we must ensure that we are able to do that while maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients. With the increasing number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals and rising transmission rates in our local communities it is important that we ensure that our wards and departments are clean, tidy and uncluttered and that we can decontaminate any clinical area quickly and effectively.
