‘Delivering on Inclusion @ DCHS’ – conference and workshops open for registration: This conference takes place on 20 October and promises to be an insightful day where you’ll hear about the role of our staff networks and learn more about our popular reverse mentoring programme. Details of how to register and the full agenda is here. The first in an exciting series of six educational workshops, hosted by our staff networks, has also been arranged and will be on the topic of ‘unconscious bias’. Virtual School Gate is still here for you....

The schools are back, but things are feeling far from normal as we adjust to new routines with our children and live with the uncertainty of whether ‘bubbles’ will isolate from one day to the next! We are still parenting through a pandemic and the Virtual School Gate is here for you every Thursday 9.30am – 10.30am – an opportunity for you to make a cuppa, pause and connect with others in a supportive space.

Are you interested in our Nurse Associate and Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship Programmes?

If you are a Health Care or Therapy Support worker you may be interested to find out more about these exciting apprenticeship programmes. We are running some information sessions via Microsoft Teams for managers and employees on Wednesday 7 October and on Thursday 5 November from 11am-12noon and from 1-2pm.  These will give you a chance to hear from the Clinical Practice Facilitator, the Wider Workforce Team and from current apprentices and to ask questions before deciding if this programme is for you. If you and your manager want to join one of the sessions and/or want to know more, please contact the Wider Workforce Team at Dchst.apprenticeshiptrainingenquiries@nhs.net and we will send you an invite to the session of your choice and arrange to have a chat with you. We look forward to hearing from you.

Staff swab testing

Staff swab testing

The process for staff swabbing has changed to make it easier for you to arrange your own test. From Monday 22 June Trust referrals for swabbing will be switched off and all colleagues who require a Covid swab will need to book a test through the national self-referral Government Gateway.
