National Pharmacy Technician Day - 19 October

National Pharmacy Technician Day - 19 October

Today is National Pharmacy Technicians Day, a time when we acknowledge the work undertaken by these crucial members of our Pharmacy team in the provision of DCHS pharmacy services. In addition to their work at DCHS, many of our pharmacy technicians have also supported the national Covid vaccine roll out by undertaking the required vaccine centre training and supporting their local vaccination centres outside their working hours.  The last year or so has highlighted the dedication of the whole Medicines Management Team who have worked together and supported each other, creatively adapting the way we work to ensure the pharmacy services are maintained and our patients receive uninterrupted and safe access to the medications they require.  Our pharmacy technicians also wanted to use today to give a big thank you to the pharmacy assistants whose continuous support is integral to so many aspects of the work undertaken by the Medicines Management Team (our unsung heroes).
