Hardship fund closure reminder

Hardship fund closure reminder

The DCHS Covid-19 staff hardship fund was launched in November last year with the aim of providing grants of up to £500 to staff who were experiencing financial hardship as a direct impact of the pandemic. It was supported by NHS Charities Together and over the past 10 months the fund has provided essential financial support to more than 30 members of staff. Now that we’re moving further into the restoration and recovery phase of the pandemic the immediate need for hardship funds appears to have diminished. The Charitable Funds Committee has therefore decided to close the fund to further applications from 31 August 2021. The Charitable Trust will continue to find ways to provide support to staff and patients over the coming months.
