Needlestick and sharps injuries

The needlestick and sharps injuries working group have been working hard to help reduce the number of needlestick/sharps related injuries across DCHS. We are keen to learn more about the causes of these incidents and have developed some additional mandatory questions to be completed as part of the managers investigation process. This will help us to understand and undertake a thorough review of each needlestick/sharps related incidents to support staff to stay safe. The additional mandatory questions are included in a form which can be found via the health and safety webpage.

Developing Leadership Programme Developing Leadership Programme is for registered clinical staff band 5 and recent band 6 run by the Royal College of Nursing. This programme is open to nursing and AHP staff. Places are available on the online zoom course on 5 and 19 August. You must attend both full days. The sessions will run from 9.30am to 5.00pm.
