New phone system update (VOIP)

When calls are being transferred to phones with voicemail, we have been finding that when someone is on the phone already the voicemail will start immediately. This means if the call is being transferred, by the time the transfer is complete, the caller sometimes misses the start of the voicemail message and this may be confusing. Could all staff with office or mobile voicemails who want to record their own greeting, please ensure that they leave a short pause of around two seconds at the beginning of the recorded message to allow for transferred calls to get through.

Jade donates her hair

Jade donates her hair

Jade Carrier is a fairly new starter for DCHS, having relocated from Northumberland, and works in the Outpatients dept at Ilkeston Hospital. She recently got married and grew her hair for her special day. She decided after her wedding to have it cut off and she has sent the cut hair to the charity The Little Princess Trust , where they make real hair wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
